A flight of ideas from a sleepy girl:

Hi. I'm tired. Very tired. I have much too much going on and not a minute to breathe.

What's on my mind: Sex, crushes, girls, comics, food, design, girls, glass, sex, glass, friends, boys, crushes, sex, comics, friends, sex, food. If you note, there isn't one reference to sleep-- because I'm not getting much. Also, you win extra points if you guessed that "sex", "crushes", "boys", and "girls" are all very closely related.

Last month I went to a puppet festival in NYC with three friends. It was hosted by Great Small Works and was held in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. It was good. Sure, there were some performances that didn't do anything for me, but two of them I really, really enjoyed. I like puppets. A lot. You should too. I'm on a very tiny committee of people for the Black Sheep Puppet Festival. It'll mostly be taking place on October 22-23. From what I hear, it won't be as rockin' as a few past festivals, but I think it'll still be cool. Come on, it's puppets. Puppets are cool. Didn't you get that memo?

Two weeks ago I was in Chicago on a two-day shopping spree/bachelorette party, and then I spent four days with my half-sister, Colleen. It was great. I really hurt my back on Monday, but everything else was great. I almost got to meet Jeffrey Brown (my favorite graphic novelist/comic artist ever). I also went to Quimby's and spent way too much money on minis, comics, zines, and erotica. In addition, I ate Indian every frickin' day. My sister has a 24-hour take-out/eat-in restaurant at the end of her small street. Very convenient. You can get a huge dinner for two for $8. And it tastes wonderful, too. Yeah, I like Chicago a lot. It's a great city.

I haven't been camping this year yet. It's weird. It's always been a pretty big part of my life since high school, but now that Dave's gone, I'm carless (thanks to Dave) and I have no time... I haven't slept in the woods in 2005 yet. I need to get out there. I'm a very good backwoods kinda gal. All I need is a sleeping pad (bad back) and a lighter. I need to form a little group of people to camp/hike with. I need greenery and living on the South Side of Pittsburgh is very grey and industrial (especially where I live).

Only a few more days and I think the season's first tomatoes from my building's roof will be ready. That's exciting.
