hola. etoy en espana ahora. [hi. i'm in spain right now.] and i don't know how to make tildes or upside-down exclaimation points. yay me.
i've seen tons of gaudis, lots of dogs, some skyscraper signs that move along the top of the buildings, a tired matt [he does have to entertain me and complete his final week, you know], lots of palm trees and scooters. ...but that still leaves something unresolved-- where in the hell are the cute guys? lots of cute girls, which is nice, but out of the thousands and thousands of guys my age here, i have seen exactly one i wouldn't mind talking to. ...not that it's my goal to have a tryst or anything, but seeing cute faces never hurt anyone.
it's hot here. not hot to anyone else but me. it's about 75 degrees for sleeping and i like it around 55. a bit of a discrepency there. but it is really beautiful here. the subways make sense. i've been by myself for a decent amount of the time and i haven't gotten lost yet. i've ridden the subways and the buses and it all makes sense. how great is that? in pittsburgh, a bus comes every 60 minutes [yes, 60] on sundays and now the city wants to cut all sunday service. now, how sucky is that?
pittsburgh: $2.25 for 1 ride and 1 transfer.
barcelona: $0.50 for unlimited rides and transfers as long as they're all different lines. nice.
also, the subway comes every 1-3 minutes. if only i could convince the city to change its atmospheric temperature to about 15-20 degrees C. i think it'll be easy. nobody's tan or beach lovers. really.
one last thing. i'd like to buy some new feet. the one's i have are terrible. i have no less than six blisters. poor, poor me.
